Weeds

Turns out that there was a mistake with my Comcast billing and they decided to give me Showtime for free in compensation. I made no hesitation to start watching the show "Weeds" and it did not disappoint. I sat there for one week straight after work days watching full seasons per night. It was fantastic! The first two and a half seasons were magical in my eyes and I wanted to address some of the things I love about Weeds.

The Music - When there's a pivotal or remarkable moment in the show, the music is harmoniously in sync with the situation. The music complements the moment in a very descriptive manner.

Mary Louise Parker - The perfect protagonist. She lives this part and right off the get go I was completely convinced that Mary was indeed Nancy. The character is developed so well that I often forget that the show isn't reality. She is a smoking hot badass milf and we love it.

The plot - Some of the plot lines are just so well done and executed perfectly. The scene where Peter gets offed by the Armenians was just so fucking swift and priceless that I almost ejaculated in my pants when I saw it. Fuck that asshole, he got what he deserved.

Fucking U-Turn - One of the show's best characters. His dialogue was so hilarious that it was a shame that the show had to off him. U-Turn did try to jack Nancy and Conrads pot but when he took Nancy in as an indentured slave, it was almost as if he was trying to train her to be tough. Their relationship became a master and teacher and I believed that U-Turn was never going to harm her but rather show her how to hold her own in the dangerous business.

I must say though that the series takes a huge blow when Nancy leaves Agrestic and Conrad departs from the show. It just gets way to serious and too edgy for me. And by that I mean the lackadaisical being of the show was stripped away. The Mexican drug lord and president gimmick was just terrible. I don't want to see my girl Nancy being surveyed and targeted to be killed. Guillermo just puts a death essence over the show. After what Nancy did to him, he's not going to go easy on her. Esteban is just a shit character and I hate him. It's a shame that they kept him around for so long. Hopefully in season 6 he will be offed the series.

Just a few quick notes about the characters.

Nancy needs to get her freedom back. The show is just terrible when you have Esteban, a despicable character, calling the shots for what happens.

Andy needs to stop being so serious.

Cilas needs to stop growing weed and unexpectedly get a respectable job. All I can see is him moving out on his own and getting arrested.

Shanes character is going in the right direction especially with the Season 5 finale.
